Putting you first

At Calma Psychology, we believe that healing begins with feeling safe, seen, and supported. Our name reflects our core philosophy: creating calm, compassionate spaces where individuals and families can find clarity, growth, and empowerment through evidence-based psychological care.

Hi, I’m Ana Ramirez

I’m a trauma-informed and neuroaffirming psychologist passionate about creating safe, respectful spaces for healing and growth.

With experience across child protection, disability, and mental health, I work with adolescents and adults navigating trauma, neurodivergence, and life’s complex challenges.

My approach is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and evidence-based therapies like Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). I believe therapy should feel human, empowering, and deeply connected to your unique story.

At Calma Psychology, we offer a range of in-person or telehealth psychological services tailored to support individuals across the lifespan, with a focus on adolescents and adults.

Whether you’re seeking clarity through assessment or support through therapy, we provide personalised, respectful, and culturally informed therapy that meets you exactly where you are.

Calma Psychology is not a crisis service.

Acknowledgement of Country

At Calma Psychology, we acknowledge the Wadawurrung People, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work in Geelong. We pay deep respect to Elders past and present, and to the wisdom, strength, and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

As a trauma-informed practice, we recognise the ongoing impact of colonisation, dispossession, and intergenerational trauma. We honour the rich traditions of healing, storytelling, and connection to Country that have existed on this land for thousands of years—and continue today.

We are committed to listening deeply, walking with cultural humility, and supporting justice, equity, and wellbeing for First Nations communities.
