Meet Ana Ramirez
Calma Psychology was founded with a simple but powerful intention: to offer a calm, respectful, and compassionate space where people could feel understood—without needing to explain or defend who they are.
Over the years, I’ve worked across child protection, disability and mental health systems. Again and again, I saw how many children, young people, and adults were doing their best in systems that didn’t fully see or support them—especially those who were neurodivergent, living with trauma, or navigating complex life circumstances. This became the heart of my practice: creating a space that honours each person’s story, while offering practical, evidence-based support for healing and growth.
As a psychologist, I draw on a range of modalities—including EMDR, CBT, ACT, and DBT—but the most important part of my work is the relationship we build together. I believe therapy should feel safe, collaborative, and grounded in deep respect for your lived experience. Whether you’re coming to therapy to make sense of past trauma, complete an assessment for autism or adhd, support a neurodivergent child, or work through anxiety, grief, or burnout—my role is to walk alongside you with warmth, clarity, and compassion.
We have a services page with more information about ways we might be able to help.
